COVID Update July 2020

We will not be running a fall volleyball session in 2020 due to restrictions and risk resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

We have a challenging situation as volleyball is inside, dependent on the school facilities, and we use multiple, revolving volunteers each session to help with drills.  This all increases the risk to participants.

We are still hopeful that things will have become calmer in time for the winter session, but we will consider our path forward closer to the time.  Any updates will be posted on our page on the site.

We encourage you and your athlete to hit the ball around, practice ball handling, and run any individual drills you feel comfortable with.  You can find drills for one or two people on the web at sites like, and the  My daughter, Emma, found that this video on YouTube was great:    Remember that safety should always be the first concern!  If your child does not have a volleyball, please let me know.

This was a difficult decision to make but I believe it is in the best interest of the health and safety of the kids, their families, and the community as the COVID-19 cases continue to rise.

Thank you

Sue Dougherty

If the Saturday session needs to be canceled, your coach or the director will contact you.  If the weather is getting bad after school dismisses the director will make a call on the safety of practice and you will get an email by 5 pm.
